How to Believe in Miracles for Your Business

einstein-miracles

Lately, I’ve been watching documentaries and reading about people who’ve done big things in different arenas, despite the odds. I’m using it to strengthen my mindset and keep focused on the big things I’m creating in my different businesses.

I love the story of Einstein’s “Miracle Year”.

It was 1905.  He was becoming a big failure fast.

His father died believing his son wasn’t going to amount to much. He hadn’t been able to get his son Albert a job.

Miracle 1: This might be exactly where you need to be right now.

Einstein ended up having to get a job as a patent clerk. He was overqualified for the work and had a lot of time to think and daydream. The job required that he strip down long, convoluted documents to get to the pure essence of what each patent application was about, at the core.

This helped him hone his skills at seeing the purity and simplicity of what was there, even through a bunch of mumbo jumbo.

He became very quick at it, giving him time to daydream and ponder his scientific questions. This time allowed him have some big “A-Ha’s” concerning his scientific ideas.

If you feel that you aren’t yet at the point where you’re doing exactly what you’re meant to be doing, take heart. You’re in the perfect place you need to be, but only if you keep your eyes open and take advantage of the blessings that are there, even if they don’t seem to be blessings, at the time.

Miracle 2: Keep doing the work you know you’re meant to do, no matter what.

In 1905, when it looked to everyone on the outside that Einstein was on track to a big “nothing” career, Einstein published 4 incredible papers anyway.

These works were recognized later. these ideas that changed science and the way we experience the world. Things we now consider essential (like GPS)  developed because of his discoveries. Yet, he was still in a place at the time where it looked like he would not be participating in the scientific community.

But, he did the work anyway.

No matter if you’re in a job that isn’t fulfilling you right now, keep doing the work you know you were meant to do. On the weekends, at night, whenever you can find the time. Think about your dreams while at work, and keep taking a step each day towards making it real.

Miracle 3: Believe in yourself.

This is the biggest part of success.

Mindset.

You’ve got to believe in yourself. Without this (and a big why), it’s unlikely you’ll do the work required when the going gets tough and it seems nothing is going your way.

Without belief, you won’t do the extra work required to achieve excellence. [Tweet this]

You could be in the middle of your Miracle Year (or quarter or month) right now.

It’s only in the looking back that you’ll see when your miracles happened.

Powerful! Thank you for writing about one of the greatest minds and action takers in history Maritza. I appreciate your insights shared, very inspiring and surely will lead to great success. Following the footsteps of others is so valuable. To see they too have had their struggles, but overcame them is a consistent pattern all other great successes did too. A valuable lesson!

    Maritza, this is incredibly inspiring.

I’ll be doing a post soon about your “big Why” – the more experience I get, the more I truly believe most people do not yet have a clear, detailed why that brings up feelings and motivates and inspires them. And this can be one of the greatest things to propel people into more and bigger action!

Great timing on this inspiring post Maritza. It’s so easy to feel down when you’re stuck in a run of the mill job. But as you point out, it can be a great time to safely test the waters and explore the other talents you have at night or on the weekends. I’m able to do this right now and I love that I have some fuel from the outside to get me through the DAY job mundane moments. The way I see it, it’s only a matter of time before I’m on to more passionate pursuits that pay the bills. Thanks for this reminder!

Stephani, you have so much inspiration and guidance to give people who have given away their power. So excited to see what you’re creating for them and yourself.
