This is a fabulous video showing some great examples of extremely successful people who encountered what could have been the end of their brilliance. What I love is that each one of these people persevered and followed their dream to become not just successful, but the BEST in their respective fields….
Some of my “failures”:
- Being asked to leave my high school choir because I wasn’t good enough… then signing a record deal and becoming a professional singer with my own self-titled cd in South America
- Getting panned in speech class… to getting asked for an interview by Oprah herself!
- and I could go on…
How about you?
Have you ever been told you couldn’t…? And more importantly, what did you do with that “opinion”…
Life = Risk so what are you going to risk accomplishing today?
As always, I’d love to hear from you!
Thank You Charles Kirkland for telling me about the Twit This plugin so people can retweet your posts! Obviously since I have 2 twitthis icons… I’m just tellling myself it’s about progress and not perfection!

Maritza, My videos are the top 1,3,4 and 6 positions for my market on YouTube & my website is #1 for my keywords on Google. Now I’ve gotten high paid speaking engagements & high paying clients working with me… This is like a dream come true.
My twitter followers have increased from about 160 to over 1200 in about 15 days… Over the holiday season, I promoted a special in my jewelry line & increased my sales from last year by 1281%! I have been just tremendously thrilled!
Thank you Maritza for your "Easy Video Sales Formula" It answered three prayers for me. My favorite part was watching you navigate around inside each screen capture software so that I can see how intuitive each one is. I am so happy to learn about the s3 interface. I have not been able to use my s3 account for eight months since I didn't know how to get my media from s3 to my website. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
OMG, I just did it. I “spoke my article.” It took me 3min. I’m so excited! I’ve reached a milestone thanks to you.

Wow, Maritza, wow. Chills. Awesome video. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
I’ve been sitting here pounding on the keyboard since 2002, trying to generate an income from home. I’ve made some money along the way, but, it’s rarely been consistent. One day I’ll tell my story and it will begin with that and the people in the room/on the blog/on the podcast will be shocked and gasp. Because they will be looking at a success.
People like you help me truly believe in myself, no matter what. Thank you.
And remember, YOU are not your past failures…

You do not equal your failures… so get excited and hopeful and use right now to create your future!

You know there is a little known secret among the most successful people in the world… the most successful have had the most failures…
It can be scary and sometimes feel like a mouse on a treadmill when you aren’t seeing the huge success, but keep moving forward and also, step back sometimes and look at what you’re doing with new eyes…
is there something you can do to streamline
to duplicate yourself
to get more customers and clients and systematize things
are you only doing what you’re best at
when have you been in the “flow” bringing in money – are there similarities in those times? identify & duplicate those things
I went away last weekend, disconnected and came back with a new perspective and with new ideas and focus!
And I love you thinking about how it will feel to tell your story and inspire others… feeling and thinking about the end result – HUGELY IMPORTANT!
Love, Maritza
People don’t realize success doesn’t happen over night. The most influential people in the world has had the hardest fall and every reason in the world to quit.
Bill Gates – Former CEO of Microsoft – worked out of his mom’s garage, paying his secretaries with stock certificates, almost 20 years in the making, broke and all. He had every reason to quit. Thank god he didn’t.
If you take the risk and fail at something, it just means you are elevating to the next level, because people who don’t fail at anything never took any risk and stays in the same place.
Which person do you want to be?
I needed this pick me up Maritza. Great Article and Video!
Awesome – will do! Thank you, Maritza!
Hey Maritza,
I remember when we had to take this course before we got married. And the counselor at the end had some time with us to review stuff from the course with us. He said because we got engaged so soon (less than 30 days) and was getting married very soon (less than a year) that we would be high on the divorce rate.
Well 27 years later…

Maritza,
This video WAS a boost for me! Come to think of it, I haven’t really “failed” that many times. It’s not a fun thing for me. Sooo, what a charge to be reminded that failure can be a gateway to an even better success!
My failures:
I failed to make it even one year as a Waldorf class teacher. That led me to Radical Forgiveness and a business I love: Forgiveness Walks. I’m happier teaching outdoors!
I failed to complete the Pacific Crest Trail, getting off with 266 miles to go. In town, I got warm, made a rainsuit, and got back on the trail. I finished it with greater confidence – and better clothing!
When things don’t turn out how I had hoped, I say that God has something even bettr in mind! That helps.
Thanks, Maritza

Pat & Lorna, That’ll show ‘em…
Great video, good reminder that everyone goes through failure.Question is are you willing to keep going?
On December 23/24, 2006 I was sleeping in a hotel lobby because it was just too cold out to sleep in the van. You can hear the whole story at http://ArticleGuyTeleSeminars.com/startnow
A failure is not the end of the road as long as you choose to keep moving.
