30 Days of LOA – Are You on the Verge of a #Business Breakthrough?

online business breakthrough If you’ve ever gone through a time in your business (or your life) where everything seemed to be NOT working…How can you tell if it’s just a rough patch or you are ready to undergo a breakthrough? Sometimes you might not recognize that you’re ready to undergo a breakthrough, or what I sometimes call a transformation because you’re so close to the circumstances and what’s happening right around you – but when you’re feeling massive amounts of resistance, you’re probably on the verge of a breakthrough.

It seems that as the level of resistance increases, so does the level of the breakthrough you can potentially achieve, but only if you keep moving forward.

4 things to help you keep going so you have a breakthrough to the next stage of your business:

Tweet this:

1) Realize it will probably get worse before it gets better.

One of the things I like to think about when I’m undergoing great changes in my business and life is caterpillars. Think about the little caterpillar… stuck in a cocoon, it’s dark, there’s no sun, the little guy was crawling around with his belly on the ground and now, he’;s just stuck in that little silky shell, no movement…

There are periods of expansion in your business when things seem to be going smoothly and you’re moving forward, then there are periods of contraction when things seem stuck, unpleasant, annoying and uncomfortable at the very least. You may even feel yourself moving BACKWARDS sometimes!

That can be incredibly frustrating AND it can take you off your path, searching for something different to make up for it – when sometimes you just need to push through the resistance to come out to something better on the other side.

And that’s OK… It’s always darkest before the dawn… just be sure to Hold On! Think of what happens when the caterpiller undergoes transformation – he can now fly high as a transformed butterfly…

As I was running yesterday, I had difficulty at the very beginning, until mile 3 – then between mile 3 and mile 11, I was doing great, everything was flowing, I was having an amazingly effortless and fun run. Then, I passed mile 11 – I developed a headache, my right foot started feeling pain, then my hips started hurting with each and every stride….

It took everything I had to continue through that resistance and all I focused on was the next one small baby step.

2) Are you getting push back from family, friends, colleagues?

Are you getting some push back from people around you? Even from yourself maybe? Could it be because you are threatening to heal or complete or grow or become more empowered in some way? Could it be that you’re poised to take your business to it’s next phase of exponential growth?

Listen, when you make the decision to grow and become more, to really make your business everything that it could be, have it be more than simply about money but about changing lives, it’s so weird but you’ll get a lot of unhappy people around you. I guarantee it.

I always feel like this is God/ the Universe/ Source – again whatever you want to call it – just making sure that you really do want it!

You cannot stay unfulfilled enough, poor enough, small enough to help anyone else.

Be aware and be compassionate with the people around you when you start to stretch and grow, when the people around you get upset that you are going through a transformation. It’s scary to them and can remind them of the growth they might not be doing in their businesses or lives. Send them blessings and keep moving forward with your growth.

3) Be open to the lessons.

Listen to your intuition. This is your inner wisdom and it’s always leading you in the right direction for you. Trust Yourself. The thing is, many times we’re so overloaded with noise that we can’t hear or listen to ourselves clearly!

Be aware and awake to see the opportunities for the lessons, for the gifts of growth during these uncomfortable times so you can emerge bigger, better, brighter!

4) Consider getting a coach or mentor.

When this feels like it’s happening, It can be helpful to find a coach or mentor to help you grow though these periods of change.  I now have a coach or mentor for the things that are important in my life. Right now, I have one for business building, one for financial growth, and a relationship / spiritual coach.

In the marathon yesterday, as I was in the most difficult moments in those last few miles – Lisa texted me encouragement from the finish line and my boyfriend Joe sent me a voice text message. Having them encourage me and coaching me along the most difficult part was an invaluable gift.

Make sure to surround yourself when you’re feeling a lot of resistance in your business – with people who encourage you, who coach you, who believe in your dreams.

What this gives you is loving and firm accountability to help through those moments where it will take courage and getting out of your comfort zone to make things happen.

As I saw the finish line about a ½ mile away, I dug deep and found that inner strength to push through and finish strong, and I know you can too.

Remember that when the resistance is concentrated, when it feels darkest, when it gets painful – it usually means you’re on the verge of taking a big step forward in your business – push through and discover the amazing things that can happen.

“You were born with potential.

You were born with goodness and trust. You were born with ideals and dreams. You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don’t.
You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly.” ~ Rumi

    Maritza!
What a great reminder about the ups and downs of life and business. It is just a matter of holding on and being willing to wait as things even back out, only bigger and better than before.

Faydra, You got it! There’s expansion and contraction every single time something big is about to be birthed… sometimes it hurts, sometimes it’s uncomfortable and even scary… and there are always beautiful lessons and growth if we’re open to it!
