30 Days of LOA – What’s Your Manifesto? (Your Unique Marketing Message)

what's your business manifesto? There’s so much noise online that it’s more important than ever to have a clear underlying message that powers your marketing. I’ve just finished writing my business manifesto for 2015 and beyond. It wasn’t the simplest process, it does require you to dig deep, and it can be extremely fulfilling.

There are a couple of foundational keys to being a unique content expert.

Love yourself. This is from my own manifesto from Easy Online Marketing episode 6, the first key is loving yourself. If you want to release the greatest untapped resource in your business, you’ve GOT to love yourself. You’ve got to be willing to find the love that powers your story and your business.

Be yourself. Don’t try to be anyone but you. When you find a mentor or a coach who is being successful in what you want to do and you learn from them, make sure you don’t just copycat what they’re doing. I don’t think a lot of people do that in a malicious way, it seems they just get clouded by someone else’s success and want it so much that it happens sometimes.

You might just have to dig around a little, own your greatness and realize that you are unique – it’s just that you are so darn close to your own story, that it’s mundane to you. Dig into your origin story, dig into your experiences, dig in and own how you’ve helped other people…

Here are some of the steps to writing your manifesto:

  1. Why do you get up in the morning?
  2. Who are the people who want what you have?
  3. What do you want to be doing to earn money?
  4. What in your history has given you the tools and experience to do this? (This one’s a biggie)

Ask yourself these questions, they will help you get clear on who you are and how to articulate it so you can clearly communicate what you’re all about. When you do that, you become irresistible and juicy, magnetic to 100% of your ideal prospects and customers. ah, sometimes I forget to look into my tool belt to see all the amazing experiences and knowledge I already have. I’ve been so focused on looking forward, learning, growing…that it’s great to get a reminder!

I am really working on loving myself and being myself, but what really stood out for me was, “What in your history has given you the tools and experience to do this?” I’ve never thought to connect my manifesto to my unique gifts and experiences that help me stand out from the rest…my unique business proposition if you will. Thank you!

Kaly, I’m so glad this was helpful, especially as your unique story is one of the things that will make you connect with the women (and very smart men) who follow you. <3

Wow Maritza!! You are amazing! I love your MANIFESTO!

    This is my manifesto:

LOVE this, Maritza! Once again, right on the money. I think being an expressing who you are regardless of your business is THE key to success. Hands down.

Right on Maritza! I just chatted with our great friend Amber Hurdle about this topic. As she says, “Just Do You!”. Be yourself, embrace it, and the rest will turn out great moving forward. Thank you for another motivating, inspiring podcast in this incredible series!

  7. […] And next time on the 30 days of LOA for entrepreneurs, I’m going to ask you “What’s your manifesto?” What do you stand for? […]
