Easy Online #Marketing #Podcast Interview: “How to Be Unstoppable with Jay Platt”
In this episode, I have a conversation with an amazing speaker, author, fundraiser, coach, world-class athlete and entrepreneur Jay Platt. He’s a Marine who was diagnosed with a Von Hippel-Lindau. This is a rare form of cancer that attacked his eyes, brain, spine and kidneys. He lost his left eye and was told the best days of his life were behind him.
At first, Jay was scared, confused, angry… He was medically retired from the Marines and told to take it easy.
He heard a speech on cassette tape that changed his life and shifted his perspective forever.
He’s since become a world-class adventure athlete, an inspirational speaker, a writer, fundraiser and much, much more.
In this interview he shares some of his thoughts on doing the “impossible” and why it’s so important to surround yourself with people who believe in you, like his wife Paz Platt (who he married during his Appalachian Hike journey after a near death experience! Listen to the podcast to hear their beautiful story).
Since being told to “take it easy”, Jay has:
- Hiked the Appalachian Trail
- Swam from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco with his hands and feet tied together
- Swam across the Mississippi River while blindfolded, handcuffed and shackled.
- Been featured in the “Living Unstoppable” documentary
- Inspired countless others with his story
