The Cocooning Process – Getting Quiet To Hear Your Inner Voice

cocooning process

Whenever you feel you’re going through a time of change, it can be an opportunity for a transformation…

In business (and in life) the only constant is CHANGE.

When it feels overwhelming to the point where it’s difficult to hear my own voice and truth, I always go back into what I call my “Cocoon” to become stronger and find the opportunities in whatever may be happening!

Or it may be the feeling that there is a new direction, a pivot or a big fork in your business road.

During these times, one of the things that is SUPER IMPORTANT is for you to learn to listen to yourself and trust yourself.

YOU are the only one who knows exactly how you want your business to BE and who you want to BECOME.

We’re so used to looking outside of ourselves for the answers… when you are SO much more powerful than you may believe right now.

Especially in moments of change when it can feel like everything is moving underneath you and there is no certainty…

This is an opportunity for transformation.

I’ve written and spoken about this from stage frequently. Many people ask me what “Cocooning” means and how you can do it, so here’s a video below to explain this powerful process.

Here’s the Cocooning Process in a nutshell:

1. Decide you’re worth the time
2. Create a quiet space
3. Declutter that space
4. Meditation that works for you – “one size does not fit all
5. Journaling (in a way that is helpful to you – I now love art journaling)
6. Listen to yourself!

Watch the video below for more on the Cocooning Process:

Change can be fantastic, it can be great…

No matter how “yucky” or uncomfortable it feels at the time.

It can be the doorway to a brand, new, amazing business and life you could barely have imagined!

In a world that wants you to listen to everything OUTSIDE of YOURSELF for guidance…

It’s the most powerful way I’ve found to connect with intuition and find my true path through change.

You’ve probably heard me say:

YOU are the Greatest Untapped Resource In Your Business

This will help you hear your inner voice so you can navigate changes and decisions with more self-trust and courage.

This is a discipline that I have avoided and it has been costly. Being quiet does not come easy to me. Quiet time for me in the past causes my mind to race and try to figure out solutions to problems…. some times not even my problems. I will dedicate time to get the full benefits!

Wade, when you do, I would love to hear how it went for you! When I get quiet, it always amazes me that I feel refreshed, reinvigorated, answers to questions comes with more clarity and my next steps are revealed!

    Maritza,

As a person who talks to think, it used to be hard to be “quiet.” I have discovered since I started my business how helpful it can be. I agree that meditation not being a one size fits all is so important. I really have noticed how meditation makes a difference but continue to struggle with the practice only in the traditional way. Some of my best ideas have come while gardening and I have determine that the forced quiet can be quite like meditation for me.

Allison, I’m a vocal thinker too! 🙂 LOVE that you’ve noticed that gardening may be the perfect meditative practice for YOU!
