I awoke suddenly at 4am the other morning in a cold sweat…

The answer to a question I’ve been asking for months came to me in the dark hours of the morning…

A bright light of clarity woke me up.

The question I’d been pondering for month is this:

What makes some people hugely successful while others – who have the same education, experience and resources – are not?

The answer seems so simple…

Yet, if life has taught me ANYTHING. It is this…

The simplest truths are the most powerful.

This simple and powerful answer is what I’m calling The Love Manifesto (what you’re about to start reading!)

They are 4 simple keys to transforming everything in your life and business.

It all begins with this question:

Is love guiding you – or is fear guiding you?

Reflecting on it now, one, if not all four of these keys, have always been present every time I’ve had incredible success in my life or my businesses.

The more each of the 4 keys was present in my thoughts and actions, the more success I experienced as a direct result.

This has been true for my clients.

This has been true for my successful peers.

Those times when I’ve inadvertently strayed from these 4 simple yet extremely powerful principles, the more life and business became a struggle. The more challenges seemed to suddenly appear in the way. And at those times, the more dissatisfaction I felt with myself, my life and my business.

These 4 keys are:

• Love Your Self – the Entrepreneur
• Love Your Money
• Love Your Unique Message
• Love Your List

Through my entrepreneurial path which has lasted over 25 years, I’ve learned how to choose love over fear time and time again.

When you follow fear…

There is confusion.

Overwhelm.

You look outside yourself for answers.

Your path is more difficult than necessary and rarely merges with success.

When you follow love…

There is clarity.

Power.

Inner peace.

You follow your intuition, effortlessly attracting the right people and opportunities in what feels like an almost divinely inspired synchronistic flow. Your path is filled with joy, and each step logically appears before you even think to take it.

At times, I’ve done both.

Love is the way.

This morning, I realized the core objective of my work in the Business Vision Board Workshop and Heartwork Journlaing is to help others dig deeply within themselves and discover their love of self, the love of their unique message / story, purpose and value they have to offer, the love of their email list (their community), and the love of the resulting financial and spiritual rewards they will inevitably receive as a result of giving others MORE in value then they seek in return.  

These 4 keys will allow you to:

• Finally let go…
• Let go of the idea that you should become someone else to have all the business success and freedom you want.
• Let go of the idea that you don’t already have everything you need inside of yourself to have all the business success you crave – if you have the clarity and courage to look.

In the end, It all boils down to this:

The degree to which your business isn’t working is the degree to which you are letting fear guide you instead of love.

The degree to which your business is working is the degree to which you are letting love guide you instead of fear.

Key 1. Love yourself – the entrepreneur.

When you are consistently and consciously nurturing yourself, cultivating the love inside – you have more clarity.

You feel enough just as you are.

You’re able to attract love back in all its forms. Whether it’s in a healthy relationship or a business that has connected deeply with your perfect prospects and customers, you feel like your business flows.

As a result, you find making money is much easier.

When you are NOT loving yourself, you are operating from feelings of neediness and that ugly and scary lack-filled mindset.

Have you ever noticed how when you’re selling something out of need, you repell business?

It’s exactly like in any personal relationship, too. If you are needy, you repell.

This is not how you want to operate in your business. You want to love yourself, know that you are enough and create your product and service offerings from that abundance of love energy.

Does this mean that if you don’t feel the love for yourself right now, you can’t be successful in business? No, but it will be harder.

It may feel like pushing a boulder up a Himalayan mountain.

I can hear you right now.

Ok, Maritza… I get it but how do I start to love myself – the entrepreneur?

Great question!

Key #1 Video: Love yourself – the entrepreneur.

Some ways to start right now to cultivate the love inside yourself so you can become magnetic in your business.

• Let go of your personal history.
• Forgive yourself.
• Reduce your inner negative chatter.
• Adopt new self-love mantras.
• Try some mirror work or some tapping.
• Write daily in what I call your “Journal of Appreciation” – be sure to include things you have to appreciate about yourself.
• Stop numbing yourself with things like too much tv, too much alcohol, food, and drama. Put down whatever it is you are using to stop focusing on the fact that your business isn’t as successful as you know inside it could be.
• Be kind to yourself.

Key 2. Love your money.

The reality is that most people are operating with fear and scarcity thinking around money.

Why in the world would the Universe, God, Source or whatever you choose to call your Higher Power, send you any more money, if you’re filled with negative thoughts surrounding what you have right now?

Why in the world would theUniverse, God, Source or whatever you choose to call your Higher Power, send you any more money, if you don’t value and take care of the money you already have?

Our society has linked a lot of negativity to money.

There a fair amount of negative judgement aimed at those who don’t have any money at all.

Ironically, there is even more negative judgement towards those individuals who are viewed as having more than their share. 

Think about this:

If you feel resentment, envy, jealousy and judgment towards those who do have money and abundance, your subconscious will work overtime to ensure you do NOT become one of those people you dislike. Your subconscious will do whatever it can to protect you from the negative feelings of others when YOU have financial abundance.

It’s incredibly important to shed those disempowering beliefs because they will keep you from reaching your money goals.

Key #2 Video: Love your money.

Some ways to start loving the money in your life right now:

When you can do that, money and opportunities to have, earn and create more money will be attracted to you.

• Appreciate your money. Say “Thank you” for what’s there.
• Cultivate feelings of appreciation for any and all forms of abundance. Cultivating feelings of abundance doesn’t have to be in the form of money.
• Invest in yourself. This can mean buying that program that will help you learn something you need faster. Or invest in some help so that your time is free so you can do what you do best. If you have no money to invest, then invest time by turning off the tv or declining some social engagements, at least until your business profits are flowing as they could be.
• Forgive yourself for your past relationship or missteps with money.
• Forgive other people for how they’ve dealt with you in anything financial.

Key 3. Love your unique message.

Just like there is no one like you, there is no business like yours.

Are you showing how your message, your products and services are unique?

It all starts with being passionate about your message because it’s that love and passion you feel that will be communicated everywhere in your business.

It’s that love that makes your particular message magnetic to 100% of the perfect people who want what you have to offer.

Even if you are selling products, you are still communicating a message with your marketing.

Build your unique message around the value you have to share with others. Put yourself into your products, build your essence into all of your communications.  Put your love and care into your products, services, communications with clients, subscribers and prospects.

You’ll be amazed at the love that comes back to you.

Something I see over and over again is people following what they think will bring them money the fastest, no matter if they really know their stuff or even care about the topic.

Public service announcement: If you do not have true expertise and or experience in a certain topic area, you are not yet qualified to teach or sell it. What you are doing is a lie.

No business that you create on that unstable foundation will ever succeed.

If you do not have the true experience or expertise, go get it.

Or become a passionate content curator like Larry King, Oprah, or Napoleon Hill.

You can interview experts and build your community around assembling the information and inspiration your tribe wants and needs.

This is an ultra-lucrative way to build your business, especially if add some of you to your message and you love that message.

Key 4. Love your email list community.

In a recent podcast episode, I shared how I stumbled upon my best friend avatar.

In a nutshell, while I was teaching Law of Attraction principles, I imagined and operated as if my ideal customer avatar was Kerry, my best friend in the whole world.

One of the things this helped me do was to instill my expression of love for Kerry in every single email communication to my list community, every single video, and every single product offering.

There was so much love in the creation of these marketing pieces that they became magnetic.

When I transitioned to imaging my “prospect” was someone I could help in a big way and someone I loved – rather than a nameless / faceless person – I couldn’t stop my list from growing. My workshops are always full, and my offerings gobbled up.

Be yourself.

When I reflect back on some of the guidance I received from a couple of mentors in the last 5 years, several of them told me to position myself as the “untouchable guru on top of the mountain”.

They wanted me to distance myself from my community.

They wanted me to look at the numbers instead of the hearts and to only communicate strategically with them.

They were asking me to not follow my intuition and love the community I had built as much as I truly did. I found when I followed this well-meaning advice, the work became hard, like pushing that boulder up the mountain.

Though I did learn a lot of great things from them, I also learned a HUGE lesson.

To follow my intuition.

To follow my heart.

In business.

It’s your business. You can choose to follow your heart, your entrepreneurial intuition and create a business you LOVE.

I invite you to reframe your ideal prospects and customers as people who have come to you for love.

Deliver that love through your products and services that are created with love, too.
