Crayon Angel of Intention Heartwork Journaling mini lesson

Angels help you feel safe, protected, supported and nurtured.

I love painting angels of intention for different purposes and do it often as my HEartwork Journaling practice.

Intention is defined as:

  • determination to act in a certain way
  • the object for which a prayer is offered
  • a process or manner of healing of incised wounds

Creating angels of intention helps calm your emotions, get into the present moment and creates a sense of inner peace.

We can all use more of that.

In this lesson, you’ll use crayons and watercolors to create an angel as a creative meditation.

I’d never blended crayons and watercolors and the effect was MAGICAL.

One of my favorite things to come back to now is to watch watercolors blend together and this is truly a beautiful meditative process to try.

If you don’t have art supplies, use whatever you have at hand. Even a pen and paper is enough to get some intentional creative play and soothing.

I often use the Angels skirt as a place to write what’s going on in my life. It’s where I sort things out.

“I don’t know what I think until I write it down.” ~ Joan Didion

I’ve had men Heartworkers do this and find healing and relief, so if you’re a man… be courageous and try it out!
