7 Tips to Start & Grow Your Profitable List Community – The Right Way

In this episode I dispel an urban myth that a lot of people have heard about list building. That for each subscriber you have in your community, you can count on with relative certainty $1 in monthly income. This isn’t quite true and you’ll find out why in this episode of the Easy Online Marketing podcast.

I also share 7 things you want to be doing to make sure you build the best list community possible for your business.

#2 is creating your Best Friend Ideal Avatar. (What the heck is that you say…? Listen to the show!) For the resource I mentioned in the episode, how to create your ideal customer avatar that will actually work for you, Click here to download your best friend ideal avatar clarity questionnaire.

#3 is pretty cool because I’m actually telling you to make it easier on yourself to make your list building gift (and easier on your brand new subscriber, too)

# 7 is totally counter-intuitive (most guru’s will not be teaching this one!) and is THE most important one and will definitely be a recurring theme of this show.

failure holds opportunity And finally I end with my very personal story of failure. Within that failure came the opportunity for some massive success, but only because I was open to listening to my intuition. This is one the big things I want to impart to entrepreneurs – your intuition is one of your greatest untapped resources.

What a wonderful idea to create your Best Friend Ideal Avatar to keep the information on target instead of trying to be everything to everyone. We do our best work when we deliver it to the right audience. Love the picture with the seeds. It works in so many levels.Thank you for the inspiration Maritza.

Great Anna! And you might have 2 different avatars, the children and then there’s the parents that you will probably want to focus on.

Quality List vs. quantity list… I think I’ve been doing it wrong. I’m going to work on “getting out of my head” today. Thanks Maritza! Great tips!

    • Maritza Parra on November 5, 2014 at 1:09 pm

Exactly Frank! I’m actually about to delete about 17,230 subscriber emails from my list community. They either haven’t opened anything in a while or their emails have become inactive. It sounds like a lot, but I’ll still have a great community of subscribers and more importantly… they will be just the people who WANT to connect with me and want what I have to offer. I think it’s important to energetically make room for new people, opportunities and connections!
