What is your Ultimate Optin Page and why focus on it?

In the beginning of the internet, several years ago, it was very easy to build huge lists quickly. People weren’t overwhelmed and overloaded with emails. They looked forward to them. They wanted to get online newsletters. This is no longer true. Most people are overloaded with emails, so it’s become more important to be clear why your perfect prospects should join your life community.

A big mistake – One of the biggest mistakes people make is to only have people be able to sign up to your list on your blog or your website. Check out the example to the left of my website.

While this is important and you should definitely have this, you also want to have at least one Ultimate Optin Page. with your Ultimate Optin Page there is NOTHING else to distract your prospect – no articles, links, blog posts, social media icons, nothing.

 It’s one of the ways to ensure as many people you can help become your subscribers. Ultimate Optin Pages have commonly been called a squeeze page, optin pages or landing page.But there’s much more to it than a simple squeeze page. There’s got to be some thought put into your Ultimate Optin Page (and remember, once you’ve got it done – it’s up forever, building your list community!)

What makes an Ultimate Optin Page so powerful is that it’s been developed over years of testing and tweaking (and we still test and tweak as things evolve).

When you craft your Ultimate Optin Page, here are a few of the things you need to have:

  • an Irresistible Free Offer your prospect really wants
  • there is nothing else to do but optin
  • a clear compelling headline
  • a clear call to action

In the example above, you see that there’s absolutely nothing else to for prospects to do but to but to optin to your list community! This is where you want to direct any list building or traffic getting activities because you will get many more new, excited subscribers when they know exactly why they are joining your list. And a much higher percentage of the right prospects will become part of your list community when you use this strategy.
