While writing Click & Grow Rich Online: 13 Proven Success Principles to Make Money Online, I had the opportunity to interview Scott Robinson. Read some of the interview below to see how he used the principle of Imagination to succeed in his business.

Maritza: I want to ask you, you’ve had a wide range of experiences.  I was reading a little about your background in The Anatomy of an Overachiever, which is one of your upcoming projects; a chapter in a book you’re going to be writing.

It was amazing all the different things you’ve been through.  You’ve been with a bricks and mortar business, an online business and going through a lot of things that some people might call a tragedy.  You’ve been able to overcome all of those things and still be an amazingly successful person.  

Can you share with us what your background was before you got involved in an online business?

Scott: Absolutely.  I’ll preface it with this.  I’ve learned over the years that in every state of adversity there is always a state of opportunity and abundance, regardless of what the doom and gloom sayers want you to believe, it doesn’t matter; it’s your world. 

That’s kind of what I’m about, creating that, but to get to your question, in 1989 I was out of my mind, if you will.  I was young, naïve and I didn’t know all the stats about how one in five businesses fail and all of those things, I was just hungry…

I eventually came to my little epiphany over a weekend and said I’m doing this for the money.  I was honest with myself and I said I’m going to go into business whatever it takes, so I made an internal choice.  Regardless of what that meant that’s what I wanted; I wanted to own my own company.

I didn’t know all the details.  I didn’t know the answers.  I didn’t know all of that, but I knew what I wanted… 

Maritza: I appreciate you sharing about what you go through physically, because a lot of people make excuses so it shows that, even when you’re going through pain daily and people could look at you and say, he’s totally justified in making excuses; you still go out there and do what you want to do to create the life that you want and that’s inspiring to me.

Scott: Thank you.  It’s not easy and people need to hear that from those who they see as successful financially.  There’s no difference, everybody is a person.  Everybody has the same emotions and we all put on our clothes the same way – people are people.

It’s what you do and the habits you create in your life that make you successful.  

When you decide what you want and you become crystal clear about it, it solves a lot of issues.

There’s so much information.  We are in the information age.  There are so many things being blasted like media, advertising – you can waste an entire day just watching TV and not even know what happened or you can spend that same day creating a whole new future for yourself.

It is your choice.  You get to decide.  That’s the message that I like to bring to anyone that gets in my sphere.  You have the power to create the life that you want to live into and that you love.
