7 Secrets of Success: Mastermind Group

Happy Wednesday Morning! As has become our practice, Jeff and I would like to share a new video blog with you this morning. As part of our Wednesday Morning Inspiration schedule, I would like to tell you about the next secret in the 7 Secrets of Success video series. Today I am discussing being a part of a mastermind group.

I promise that if you associate with a group of people who are doing what it is you want to do, your online business WILL improve and succeed. These groups will ensure that you are not going through the process alone, that you are not reinventing the wheel and that you are learning from others who have gone before you.

So take a minute, watch the video, and decide if you are part of a mastermind group. Knowing what I now know, I cannot imagine a time in my life going forward when I won’t be part of a mastermind of some sort…

Where do you find a mastermind group?

  Hi Stephanie, for whatever you want growth in (business, relationship help, personal growth), here are some of the things I look for in a mastermind group:
  
  1. Is the leader (or leaders) of the group in a place you would like to be? Meaning, they are further along in their journey than you are and can help lift you up…
  
  2. Are you making an investment to be a part of the group? In my experience, and from what I have seen in other people’s experiences, people sometimes create an informal mastermind group where membership is free and those groups usually don’t last. When people don’t make an investment in their growth, they aren’t likely to do whatever it takes and actually GROW and CHANGE! I recently invested in a Diamond level yearlong mastermind group (investment of $100,000 – something I NEVER EVER thought I’d do!) I scrambled to collect the money to pay in full – which was a BIG MONSTER STRETCH – I don’t have that kind of money lying around!! And because of the stretching and mindshifts and doing whatever it takes to ensure I would make my investment back – I made $66,000 within 1 WEEK. Also, when everyone has invested in the group, there is a higher quality of member who is going on the journey with you, keeping each other accountable and inspired through the ups and downs of life.
  
  3. Is there are structure that keeps you on the path to growth and keeps you accountable (And is it a positive, uplifting experience?)
  Mastermind groups should have a simple structure that keeps you moving forward, stretching and growing. I’ve also been involved in groups that are just open brainstorming and the leader was kind of grouchy. I’ve since determined I only want to be in mastermind groups led by people who have characteristics I aspire to & have simple systems I can learn and model.
  
  These kind of mastermind groups are all over in different topics, business and personal. Jeff & I have a couple of groups we lead which only open for enrollment twice a year -and we have amazing members who are up to BIG things!

I agree that a mastermind is very powerful. I have been in several mastermind groups and the discussions and the ideas we shared in those groups I would have never gotten on my own. It is so fascinating how the cosmic consciousness works through a group of like minds.

  yes, the collective mind is SO powerful, isn’t it? And sometimes from them you get ideas and pesrpectives that you may be so close to, they’re difficult to see!!!
  
  We do have a couple of mastermind groups, open for enrollment in late fall and spring. Keep your eyes peeled in our newsletters during those times to see what they’re all about!
