Business Creativity & Joy with Laura West
In this episode, Laura West from the Center for Joyful Business shares how she overcame obstacles to become a creative business coach. She believes following your joy and listening to your intuition makes all the difference in your business.
Laura emerged from corporate to start her own coaching business and found success when she tapped into her intuition and creativity.
In addition to being a business coach focusing on unleashing other business owner’s creativity, she also does huge murals for conferences – live! In this image, she created a visual representation of one of my keynote speeches.
In addition to being a business coach, Laura is also Visual Graphic Facilitator. She uses hand-drawn graphics to create Visual Murals for keynotes, webinars, and meetings, as well as hand-drawn Infographics and Infodoodles.
She is genius at taking what her clients share with her, and creating art that both inspires and increases learning.
I love the fact that Laura has created success for herself and her client’s on her own terms. She shows that success can look very different and very personal to each and every one of us!
Blending your different talents to create your own unique, personal message as well as a style of delivery that is our own is really what makes us special. This is a wonderful, creative and fun way to teach and learn.
I absolutely love that Laura went from an “analytical” corporate job and created the coaching practice she wanted, in a way that fulfills her!
I love those murals! I’m a very visual thinker, so it really helps to see things laid out in 3D. As a matter of fact, I’m creating a new webinar using mind maps. I wish I had the degree of talent that Laura West has! It must have been fun giving a talk and having her behind you, creating this beautiful image of what you were saying, Maritza!
Thanks Gina! I LOVE seeing things laid out visually too! It was awesome to see the results of the mural she created while I spoke. I actually began this with a song, and you can see in the mural at the bottom where she captured the “conga line” that got created… 🙂
A conga line! Gotta love it! The last time I was in a conga line, I was drinking mai tai’s on a boat off of Antigua, and my kids were teenagers. They’re in their 30’s now!
