30 Days of LOA – Tap into the Profit Power of Surveys

Surveys are a great way to engage and communicate with your list community. There are a few things you can do to superpower your survey so that it not only helps your prospects and customers feel heard, but it also allows you the opportunity to make sales. The very first time I was inspired to use a survey in my horse riding niche, it resulted in $29,746 in a little over one day. Listen to the episode to find out how…

There are really 4 steps to a good survey:

1. Formulate questions. (Tweet This:) Short & sweet is the way to do an online #survey. People don’t have time for long-winded 1-5 questions and make sure one is an open-ended question. You will get marketing gold from the answers.

Speaking of which… Please take this super short 2-question survey about what you’d like to hear on the Easy Online Marketing podcast!

2. Ask. In as many places as you have followers and prospects as possible. Use different survey links for your social media following as you do for your list community.

3. Analyze the Results. This doesn’t have to take long and there are applications that will do this for you, like survey monkey which I love. (There’s a free and a paid version)

4. Report the Results. This is where you have the greatest opportunity for engagement, overcoming objections and for seamlessly and confidently making offers of your products and services to help them with EXACTLY what they’ve told you they need and want.Unfortunately, most don’t use the information they’ve gathered for that purpose.

For video training I mentioned in the episode that goes deeper into all of these and gives you a walk-through of survey creation, with examples used from my clients, click here.

Utilizing surveys in your marketing is a great way to increase the connection you have with your audience and actually find out what they want from you, without the dreaded “curse of knowledge” all experts sometimes have getting in the way.Surveys are easy to create and are extremely enlightening as you’ll hear from my 2 stories in this episode.

On the next episode of the 30 Days of LOA for Entrepreneurs, I’m answering another listener question from Faydra. She asks:

“Maritza, I have struggled for an unnecessary length of time with the chicken and egg issue of lists. In order to have a list, you need a product that your tribe has told you they want. In order to sell the product you need a list. Ughhhhh how do you know what to create to get a tribe so you can ask them what to create!? It has been maddening for me.”

Next episode: “What came first, the product or the list?
