What Kind of Gifts Are You Giving…?

Your words of love and kindness are gifts you can choose to give freely or you can withhold them or pass them out like crumbs every once in a while…You have an unlimited and free supply of these gifts. You can choose to give out no gifts at all by being negative and judgmental of yourself and others. You can choose to give teensy weensy tiny gifts every once in a while because you may think no one is doing anything to really deserve those gifts! Or you can choose to hand out large, beautiful gifts freely to anyone and everyone you come into contact with just because it makes you feel good. Everyone deserves the gifts of your supportive words simply because they exist! Why do we sometimes withhold the gifts of our kind and loving words to those who are closest to us? (…including ourselves!)

You Have Unlimited Gifts...

You Have Unlimited Gifts...

You’re either giving beautiful gifts each time you open your mouth to speak or you’re giving nothing. You can give the gift of your words to the people you love, people at work, even to strangers you’ll only meet once. Those gifts are very important and serve not only to spread joy to others, but really to yourself!

The most important gift you’ll ever give yourself is the gift of Accepting and Acknowledging Your Own Genius. You do this with your own internal self talk. Everyone is special, everyone has extraordinary talents. It may be in a specific field of expertise or something as important as being a wonderful Mother, Father or friend…

The question is

Are you accepting and cultivating your gifts?

Don’t hide your light under a bushel” Don’t be afraid of standing out too much, of wondering what people think if you insist on spreading kindness and joy wherever you go… Will people get annoyed and let you know? Yes! Just remember it doesn’t take talent to be a critic. Negative and judgmental does not equal witty and intelligent. And let it go…

Don’t hide all your gifts to better fit in to a “mold”. What will truly make you happy is to follow your passion, fulfill your purpose, uplift others and grow the gifts you’ve been given. And remember to celebrate with others when they share their gifts too!
Remember your supply of gifts is unlimited!

I got inspired to write this post while in the waiting room while a dear family member is in surgery… I feel so lucky my family seems to have become chronically positive whenever coming into comtact with anyone… spreading bread crumbs of joy… 😀

    Who can you uplift today…?

Yes!!! It is both simple and powerful to spread the gift of positive energy to another human being. Thank you Maritza for reminding us all how important it is for us (and the the world) for us to help other people by inspiring them with something as simple as a smile, a hand on the shoulder, some words of positive encouragement, etc…

    Maritza:

It is that positive attitude that has allowed you to do what you do. Helping others and “giving gifts” is an incredible high. Who receives more? The one who gets the gift or the one who GIVES the gift??? Both benefit.

Keep up the positives – I hope your ok with this, but I’m going to put this article on my blog for more people to see and link back to you!

    Thanks for your “perspective”

There is an equal amount of negativity and positivity in the world. It is as easy to focus on the positive as it is to focus on the negative.

The choice of focus is up to each of us…

Hi Maritza! Loved the message you sent out from the hospital…

I wanted to share with you that, 3 months ago, I made the choice to lovingly cut my very toxic birth family ties. It is/was a gift both to myself and to them, and one that took me 52 years to give.

Since then I’ve been on an incredibly amazing healing journey and am bringing joy, laughter and peace into my life. I have the freedom to become, to learn, to grow, to infuse my life with light – without a constant flow of negativity, judgement, betrayals big and small, and criticism. And who knows? By giving myself that space and energy, perhaps my family members will be able to begin moving towards their own healing…
