Walking Through Petra – Indiana Jones & Faith

I filmed this video with my Flip video while walking through the cliffs of Petra during one of my spiritual journeys New Year’s Eve 2007… and this story was one I told during a recent teleseminar.

If you’ve seen the Indiana Jones movies, you’ll recognize it… when he steps into faith off a cliff and the bridge “magically” appreas to catch him and carry him to safety and success.

Never before has this story resonated with me as now.

All my perceived past failures have led me to this moment when big and wonderful changes are happening in my life! And even when things that are great happen, there is sometimes that “jittery butterfly” feeling in your tummy because all change and growth requires FAITH in the unknown…

so today, decide to step into Faith and watch what happens!
    Love,
    Maritza

What a lovely way to tell your powerful stories Maritza and how generous of you to share such an amazing spiritual journey with us too.

Petra is somewhere that has long been on my list of places I must visit and you have given me the faith to move it up that list.

    Thank you!

    Nigel

Thank you for the inspiration Maritza
I’m not a Indiana Jones fan but did enjoy your story which reminded me of one of my favourite quotes ” jump and find your wings on the way down!
    Best wishes Arabella

    Hi Maritza,

I appreciate the Indiana Jones “step of faith” story. It’s one of my favorites, too. I appreciate how you weaved (or is that “wove”?) the story into the actual place where it was filmed. I appreciate seeing the temple at the end, which I recognized from the movie, too.

One of my favorite new quotes is “I never let church interfere with my spirituality.” I appreciate you weaving you spiritual journeys with your Internet marketing and “Click & Grow Rich” campaign!

    Thanks for your comment Phil!

I actually didn’t realize I was smuggling donkeys with this version of the video & my click book at the end! Grabbed one of my Petra videos – I guess I really must be integrating all our Alex Mandossian teachings even more than I thought!

And thanks everyone else for your comments! I feel like I’ll be “stepping off the cliff into faith” over the next few months… exciting!

    *hugs* Maritza

Wow Maritza it was such an amazing story that I really needed to hear today. I woke up this morning in two minds whether what I was doing was the right decision. I believe my dream to become a successful entrepreneur was at a high cost to my son. Lately I have been trading his time for work time and I have seen the results of his suffering and this week it all sort of came to a head.

You only get once chance to be a good Mum is the other as important…so I have a lot of decisions to make this week and this movie helped me to try and figure out a way.

Thank you. To your success…it is on it’s way big time.

    Your friend

Hello Wonder(ful) Woman! I too had the chance to visit Petra last Christmas. We had traveled on the wrong of 2 roads, and when asking for directions to Petra our choices were to go back a long way or cut 10 miles across the desert, following a Beduin in a rickety pickup truck. We chose that risky option and were treated to pristine countryside, roaming camels and scary rocky ditches. As with most adventures our sense of engagement was heightened. We ended up entering Petra from the rear, an astounding display of natural splendor. By the time we got to the majestic carved city we were both humbled and elevated! We think we are so civilized but the imagination and scope of grandeur on display amongst the rocks of Petra reminds us to Dream Bigger! And to Get Carving out our unique offering in the wider world! Thanks for setting such a lovely example. Rock on! (with apologies for the pun)
