30 Days of LOA for Entrepreneurs – Welcome Failure for More Business Success

get over fear of failure To be an entrepreneur, you must cultivate RESILIENCY. You must not allow yourself to be easily discouraged. You’ve got to get to know and welcome failure. In this episode I make a distinction between 2 types of failure.

Most people will do absolutely anything to avoid failure. They’ll make excuses – all kinds of excuses to not even put themselves in the line of sight of failure. I’ve done it many times and work at staying aware to when I’m making excuses or there’s a legitimate reason not to move forward.

Here are some ways entrepreneurs avoid launching:

1. Overplanning

So much planning that each time you look at your plans and try to see into the future with them, you feel more fear and more self-doubt. Why? Because you aren’t taking action and the results of your actions are the only things that will tell you whether you’re on the right track or not. Planning alone will never tell you whether your plans will or won’t work.

What to do instead: Set a date to launch & stick to it no matter what. Tell someone who will keep you accountable and someone who is strong enough not agree with your excuses. This could be a mastermind partner, a coach, a mentor.

2. Excuses, Excuses

Finding all kinds of reasons to keep moving your date out into the future.

What to do instead: See above.

3. Drama Queen / King

when you’re about to launch something big and some kind of drama erupts in your life. This could be a huge fight with your partner or an accident or you get sick. Most of the time these are self-sabotage in sheep’s clothing.

What to do instead: Next time some drama happens in your life, step back and try to become the observer. If you need help, get help navigating this. Help can come in different forms, go to 5:23 in the show episode.

1.Overplanning. I plan, plan, review the plan, re-start the plan, go back to the original plan, plan some more. You are right, is just the fear taking over and not letting me move forward.
Thank you for the eye opening push. It is seriously needed.
