While writing Click & Grow Rich Online: 13 Proven Success Principles to Make Money Online, I had the opportunity to interview Allie Longoria. Read some of the interview below to see how she used the principle of Self-Talk to succeed in her business.

Maritza:     Which of these success principles has been the most important to you in your online businesses for example, faith, desire, persistence or masterminding…?

 Allie:          When you asked me that question and we were talking about the interview I went back, was looking at that list, I really thought on it last night and prayed on it.  I’ve got my list here and I’m sitting here looking and I actually ranked them.

 This is a hard question for me, because these are all different aspects of my personality, I finally give myself credit for this and see that there are certain innate things that successful people do.

 I’ve always been a student of success.  Sometimes I don’t feel as successful as other times, especially when you start playing at a higher game.  It’s okay.

Maritza:     Do you know what the great thing is?  We’re all pulling each other up, which is why it’s important to surround yourself with people who are going to support you.

Allie:             I agree.  That was a big one.

The mastermind was a huge piece.  The knowledge was a huge piece, because I believe that you don’t know what you don’t know.  I didn’t know the possibilities of online businesses.  I didn’t know that I had put my own glass ceiling on myself until I exposed myself to other people to help me get through that stuff.

 I didn’t know so much and each time it’s a step so that was a big piece for me.

 The planning, I like to plan out okay, there’s my goal for myself, it’s a promise instead of a goal; I’ve done that.

 Faith is huge.  Persistence is huge, because I fall down a lot and get up again and dust myself off. 

I have to say that number one for me were the auto suggestions.  I thought about that and I have always been someone who has done affirmations and things, but I thought on it harder and it really came from my mom.  I didn’t know what an affirmation was, really. 

 When I learned about them, it was just what my mom told me every day.  It’s what my dad told me every day.  It was– you can do anything.  Can’t wasn’t in our vocabulary, it just wasn’t allowed.  Stupid wasn’t allowed.  She really and still does put those auto suggestions in my head.

 I read it and I thought of this is an affirmation.  I did that, but really and truly it was that and that’s my passion, to bring that to other women.  We’re really blessed, we have amazing role models, amazing parents that inspire us and there are so few women – I realize this that there are few men too – who have that support.

You can feed yourself from it.  You can find other people with it.
