Using the Law of Attraction Mantra “Ask, Believe, Receive” in Your Business

ask believe recieve

In this episode of the Easy Online Marketing podcast, I take one of the biggest sayings of Law of Attraction and apply it to starting and growing your business. I love remembering that the Law of Attraction can indeed be powerful in your life, and it’s got a little hidden word “ACTION”. You can’t just daydream and meditate on success. But, what happens when you feel like you’ve been working and striving and success still doesn’t seem to be coming?

THAT is the moment to remember these 3 steps that I’ll illustrate through the metaphor of growing your garden:

1. ASK

Asking is like planting your seed. There’s action involved. You plan and choose what type of plant, you find the right soil, maybe you bring in the right soil, you did a hole of appropriate size and you plant your dream.

This is the time to plan out your strategy and ask the right kind of questions.

Instead of asking questions like:

“Can I really do this?”

“Am I enough to do this?”

Ask questions like:

“How can I do this?”

“How many different ways can I do this?”

“Why can I do this?”

And take action on every piece of your planned strategy.

2. BELIEVE

This is the hardest part.

The part where most of the time, and maybe even for a long time – it feels like nothing is happening.

This is the part where most people stop and try “planting” something else.

This is the time to “weed your garden”. This means to be ultra aware of your self-talk. It’s easy to go into the negative. It’s lazy to go into the negative “Why isn’t this working for me?” mode. This is the moment that will determine your success.

Stay in the NOW. Not in the “what hasn’t happened yet” or in the “this is taking too long” state of mind. focus on what can you do NOW and how you can do it well.

3. RECEIVE

A teeny, tiny, itsy bitsy green shoot starts coming out of the ground! Your first success!

Be sure to celebrate each and every little success. This part can feel easier because you see evidence of progress. Keep going, keep finishing al the pieces of your project.

And then enjoy the results of “Asking, Believing and Receiving” using the Law of AttrACTION.

Maritza, I love the rice cake story. I do suffer from “rice cake syndrome”. This brings it to my attention in a very funny way but also makes me see how serious and detrimental it can be to my business and life in general. And most of the time, I am just a tiny little effort from full accomplishment. As of this moment I am a recovering non finisher. Thank you so much.

Rita, the rice cakes incident definitely made me stop and think – it was a big “a-ha!” for me and made me want to be way more conscious of finishing strong!

    Maritza,
Great analogy with this. I go between all three of these phases on a regular basis, depending upon what I am working on in my life and business. What are your thoughts on limiting the number of projects you have going at any specific time?

Connie, So awesome to see you here!!

I am now a huge believer in limiting projects. Just recently, I decided “I want to launch a book (with a message I’m so ready to share) on kindle and take it to #1 bestseller within the next 2 months!” but when we looked at exactly where that would fit, it doesn’t right now. It would be a distraction from all the other things I’ve set as goals. So, sad as I am to put the book on hold, I have to unless I want to stretch myself way too thin and diffuse the power of all the other projects I’m working on.

I’ve been putting those kinds of projects on a “will do later” list. Write out what the project is, the purpose and a braindump for about 30 minutes. That way, it’s all out of my head and on paper. Then, I set a date to revisit it in my calendar, to see when it makes sense. I know you’re a huge do-er too, would love to know some of your strategies! XOXO, Maritza

I love the truth you shared! You are so capable, you can do so much but… not all at one time. Too often we are like the man who got on his horse and rode off in all directions! Actually, limiting your self to those things that are pre-eminent and priorities can really allow maximum growth.

Still working on ForeTalk as we discussed, Blessings,

        • Maritza Parra on June 10, 2015 at 9:34 am

Stan, of course, you know I love that you used a horse analogy! When riding the horses, laser focus os required and that’s been a great “mental mindset” training ground for me.

Your ForeTalk is something that will help SO many people attain peace of mind so they can focus on remembering, celebrating and being 100% present with their loved ones, without worrying about what hasn’t been done. It’s such a gift you’re bringing to the world.

Love the idea of growing our business as we grow our garden. I find it clear, simple and logical.
Also I love the illustration. I’m printing it and is going in my vision board. Thank you Maritza

Ann, LOVE that you’re doing that! <3 I started doing these cartoons to remind myself of these kind of principles. I love the idea that can help you do the same. 😀

Maritza, thank you for this. Because I work with young children, I know how important it is to have visuals. This reminds of kids, and of how we ‘water’ and ‘nourish’ them so they blossom. If I believe in kids, and I do, I can use that as a foundation to believe in myself.

    • Maritza Parra on March 10, 2016 at 12:59 pm

Barbara, love your comment! My brother (a pychotherapist) shared something with me long ago when I was going through a rough period and being REALY hard on myself. It was to take a photo pf myself as a child and whenever I found myself with the internal negative chatter, to whip out the photo and ask myself “Would you talk to you – this child – in the way you’re speaking to you – the adult?” Helped me so much and you’re doing basically the same thing here… If I can believe in them and their potential, I can believe in me.

Thanks for sharing in the conversation! <3

    Dear,
honestly, I love what I read on your blog. You are just amazing. I really need your help, I know that the low works, because it showed me that several times. But, idk what is different now. I mean, this is my biggest desire. I want this so much. I’m really greatful for everything I have, but this one, will make me the happiest. Help me to give up on limit beliefs. Thank thank you!!!!! Wish you all the best. You are amazing.
