While writing Click & Grow Rich Online: 13 Proven Success Principles to Make Money Online, I had the opportunity to interview Christina Hills. Read some of the interview below to see how she used the principle of Specialized Knowledge to succeed in her business.

Maritza:     Great.  What has online marketing done for you?

Christina:  One of the things it’s done for me, I mean I had a very successful stimulating career in the special effects business, but I was in a very specific structure of a company.

So although I was pushed technology wise and artistically, I wasn’t pushed on a full level.  What I mean by that is, when you start your own business you’re hanging your shingle right outside your door saying this is who I am and here’s how I want to help you.

It pushes you in spiritual, emotional and personal growth ways that you don’t get when you work for a corporation.  When you work for a corporation you have your vacation days, you know when your paycheck is coming in so you know everything that’s going to happen.

Whereas, when you have your own business and this is where the Law of Attraction comes in you’re going on faith, you’re putting out to the universe hey I have this skill, I have this knowledge and I have this talent I want to share with the world.

So you don’t know for sure if it’s going to work, but you’ve got to follow your gut.

Maritza:     Speaking of knowledge, which is one of the 13 principles that I’m looking at in this project, you have such great knowledge of different kinds of online technologies and all that kind of thing, but I can tell you’re pushed to do this spiritually.

I’ve never seen another online marketing teacher, who gives as much as you do, seriously and I think I’ve taken all your classes.  You’re always–there’s so much service– I don’t know you seem to really want to see your students succeed, which is so cool.

Christina:  Yes, it’s important to me.

Maritza:     It’s not something that all online marketing teachers have and it’s something that’s really nice.  All of the people I’ve been interviewing, I’ve chosen them very carefully, but one of the main things they all have as a common thread is that they’re all about providing a lot of service to people and a lot of value.

You definitely do that with helping people get the knowledge they need to be successful at this.

Christina:  That’s where it becomes fun for me, is when I can teach somebody something and then see them take the ball and run with it, it’s more satisfying for me.
